ILON 2026 Boat Regestration

2026 Boat Registration

Island Lake Boaters,

Boating season is right around the corner and it is time to update our records.  To get a key to access the boat ramp you will need to provide us with the following information:

For boats that have a MI Registration number we will need a copy of your current MI Registration and valid Certificate of Insurance, with “Island Lake of Novi Community Association”  listed as additional insured, to issue you a key to the boat ramp gate.

The gate pad lock has been changed so your old key will not work, please bring us your old gate key.

All watercraft will require a sticker to be on the lake, including; pontoon boats, fishing boats, sail boats, row boats, kayaks, paddle boards and pedal boats.  If you already have a Island Lake sticker on your non Michigan Registered watercraft then you are all set.  If you do not have a sticker then you will need to get one to be on the lake.

ILON Watercraft Restrictions: No boat or watercraft docked or launched on Island Lake shall exceed twenty feet (20′) in length and shall be powered by no more than a twenty (20) horse power electric motor, sails, oars, or paddles only.  Gas powered engines of any type, powered personal watercraft, including but not limited to: jet-ski’s, powered surfboards, and powered efoil’s, are prohibited on the Lake.  Island Lake speed limit is ten miles per hour (10 MPH) and is a NO WAKE lake.

We will begin the registration process starting on Tuesday, April 1st at the Boathouse during Boathouse office hours. Please bring all the required documentation with you.

Access to the Lake will start on Tuesday, April 15th and must be off the lake by October 15th.

Island Lake is a private lake for ILON residents and invited guests ONLY.  Having a sticker on your watercraft will show us you are an ILON resident.
